The use of GoSpeech Medical Translate contributes significantly to improving treatment safety for foreign patients. The application is easy to use thanks to its intuitive operation through voice or text input and output. A special feature is the controlled translation check, which ensures that misunderstandings are minimized by allowing both doctors and patients to check the accuracy of communication. In addition, the app offers an export function for transcripts, which are available in both the original language and the translated version, enabling complete documentation of communication for further treatment processes.

As part of a comprehensive test at Stavanger University Hospital, the user-friendliness of the application was evaluated in realistic medical scenarios. Communication between doctors and Ukrainian-speaking patients via the app was compared with the results of a human translator. The results showed that GoSpeech Medical Translate significantly facilitated communication between doctors and patients and that the doctors' ability to diagnose was not impaired in any way.
